Breakthrough Listening trains men and women of all ages to be that timely listening ear when life stories long to be told. We not only say that listening is important, we teach how to do it within oneself, with God, and with those around us at home, in the workplace, and community.

With Joanna’s potential retirement from Breakthrough Listening on the horizon at the end of 2020, we second generation listeners have felt strongly moved to retain the desperately needed message of listening that Joanna has brought to us in the U.S.A. We couldn’t think of a better way to do that than by a video. But as you probably know, professional filming is pricey. Too pricey for our little non-profit. So we thought we would have to cut corners and do a cheaper, less than professional version. But it seems God had a bigger vision than ours. Dusty Stepp, one of the best in the filming industry, and a big believer in Breakthrough Listening, has offered to film our very own Joanna teaching a power-packed blend of Breakthrough Listening levels 1-3 for an incredibly reduced price. He is the brains and talent behind the Christian Listening promo video released in 2014 (https://youtu.be/GqQ4bMCeL5E it)
Our vision for the new video is to not only maintain the integrity of the Breakthrough Listening, but to create a tool that can be used all over the country and even abroad. It would be designed to refresh those of us who are already on the listening journey and also to serve as a tool that would allow for a course to be taught, by the best, wherever and whenever. We see this video tool as an incredible gift to remind us of the power of listening, to help us retain what we have learned, and to share it with others.
